Park projects to be completed before Riverfest
BELOIT The City of Beloit is finishing up a couple projects, aimed at enhancing Riverside Park, before Riverfest gets underway.
One of the projects involves expanding the south end of the park. With the old Ace Hardware store site cleared of debris, the expansion and landscaping is wrapping up. Assistant City Manager, Steve Gregg, says the project should be finished around the end of the month.
The other project involves the make-over of Turtle Island play park near the Lagoon. Gregg says that project is nearly complete and a dedication ceremony is scheduled for Father's Day.
