High unemployment or not, some national store chains are investing in Janesville's retail future.

Janesville Mall Manager Jodi Settersten-Coyer says three new retailers are opening for business. She says this gives her confidence about the future of both the mall, and the city. She says Janesville has been through times like these before. She also points to a national restaurant chain recently choosing Janesville for investment. The three new stores opening are Buckle, Zumiez, and Victoria's Secret Pink.

She adds further reason for her confidence in the economic future is the Mall boasts a 96% occupancy rate.

Wasn't the Victoia secret already there and also buckle? All they did was add the pink at vs and move the buckle where the card shop was. I see the new stores as only one. And others have left so I don't know where they come up with this. but I'm glad we can seem to be positive where our economy is concerned. personally I can't afford anything at the buckle or VS. I don't know about the other store, I haven't been in there.
