Orfordville men in custody in armed robbery case

Beloit police are searching for a man in connection with an armed robbery at the Mouse Tavern on Madison Road.

Captain Bill Tyler says two men from Orfordville are being held in the Rock County Jail in connection with the case. He says 37-year-old Donald Smith and 50-year-old Daniel Nehring have extensive criminal backgrounds and are on parole.

The armed robbery occurred June 14th.

Police are seeking a third suspect in the armed robbery.

Weapon was a knife. At a minimum, we need a "3 strikes & you're out" law, but don't hold your breath as long as we keep electing Democrats!

Ew, these men are from MY NECK of the woods! So glad I don't recognize them. YUCK! Well, at least now they won't have to steal for their meal...they will be given three every day!

Extensive criminal records, and they are out on parole making more innocent people into victims. To someone in the tavern didn't shoot them both dead. A good case for enacting a death penalty in WI.

Whether innocent or guilty, those are two scary-looking guys.
