WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on the how crowded Janesville's pools were during the recent heat wave
Janesville City Recreation Director Bonnie Davis isn't looking forward to another heat wave like the one last week.
She says in 30-years, she's never seen the public pools so crowded. She says a hot day last year brought out about 750 patrons to the pool. Last week, the numbers were as high as 1500. She says tempers seemed to rise with the temperatures, and personnel were needed to help with crowd control.
In light of the recent heat wave, Davis wants to remind everyone the city's ice center is still open, and a great way to cool off.
