Janesville wins state hockey finale
Janesville went out with a victory here Sunday in the Mite 2A state youth hockey tournament at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.
Ben Coulter scored three goals as Janesville defeated Onalaska, 4-1, for seventh place.
Logan Servin also scored a Janesville goal, and Payton Kovacevich had an assist. John Tibbetts had 14 saves for the home team.
Schofield Everest defeated Elmbrook of suburban Milwaukee, 4-2, in the championship game.

Note to Janesville Gazette...Janesville 6-not 0, Arrowhead 7. Game went into overtime and was phonomenal!!
And yes, Rooster...we do need a new rink!! As was evidenced by the ever leaking water during the tournament.

Janesville had another youth hockey team playing in a state tournament this past weekend. Janesville Youth Hockey Club's PeeWee B team played in the PeeWee B state tournament in Onalaska. They placed 4th.
