Lake Geneva police join task force

LAKE GENEVA — The Lake Geneva Police Department has joined the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to a news release from the Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen's office.

As part of its affiliation, the Lake Geneva Police Department is eligible for:

-- Reimbursement for task force-related expenses, including computer hardware and software.

-- Priority for task force-related training offered both nationally and locally.

-- Investigative assistance from task force investigators and forensic computer analysts throughout the state.

-- Access to the national task force e-mail group.

"Being affiliated with the Internet rimes Against Children program will allow us the resources and educational opportunities to provide officers and citizens with top-notch Internet crime prevention," said Lake Geneva Police Chief Michael Rasmussen.
