Volunteers are expecting to spruce up Janesville's downtown Friday, if the weather holds.
Event organizer Renee Dommershausen says the big projects are replacing trees, digging out stumps, and replacing bushes killed by last summer's flood. She says many of the projects are on city-owned property, but the city doesn't have the manpower to do the work.
The clean-up starts at 8am behind Olde Towne Mall. The rain date is Friday, May 22.
