Golfer remains hospitalized after fall

— A Janesville man who was injured in a fall from a cliff at Riverside Golf Course on Saturday remained hospitalized in Madison on Monday night.

University Hospital reported Dan Gable, 57, was in fair condition Monday.

The Janesville Fire Department reported Gable stepped over a fence to hit his ball but lost his balance and went over the cliff, falling 25 feet.

Gable was taken by helicopter to Madison.

Ive met Mr. Gable a few times on the course and when he was at Everhart O'Leary. What a great charismatic guy. Hope he gets well soon and can make it back out on the course next season. Take care Mr. Gable.
