— The Rock County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday arrested a Beloit man on 36 charges of possession of child pornography.

Adam M. Perkins, 37, was arrested after investigators searched his home in March and took several computers, according to a sheriff's office news release.

The computers were analyzed at the state crime lab, according to the news release, and several pictures and videos of suspected child pornography were found. The images included adults having sexual contact with small children, according to the news release.

In a separate case, Perkins faces two counts of first-degree child sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child and four counts of possession of child pornography.

Perkins is in the Rock County Jail on $20,000 cash bond.

To an extent that is true. However, the law is left for interpretation by the judicial system. As in they have discretion when it comes to sentencing. VERY rarely do the Rock county judges give Child Molesters a harsh sentence. A certain crime may say punishable by UP TO x years in prison, but the actual sentence may not include ANY prison time. So I would say there is a problem very much so with the judicial system itself.

According to Channel 3, he was arrested in March on the original 4 charges and these are 36 additional charges from the investigation. He's been in jail since then (March), so apparently he doesn't have anyone to bail him out. I hope.

representinbtownyo, checked out your link...yikes! Note that procedure doesn't actually castrate females though. They can still conceive. Talk about getting off subject.

Way are folks complaining of a $20,000 cash bond. It's highly unlikely that he would be able to post that, and besides...with charges like that no one is going to drop that much on a dirt bag like him. At least they didn't release him on a signature bond. Be glad.

Congratulations to the police on this one. I hope they will have access to mental health services for all the trauma that dealing with these photos may have caused them.

I've read that the bad-ass boys in prison have a code of honor regarding sexually assaulting children. He'll find out, too.

The minute this guy is left alone in a cellblock with other inmates who know what he is charged with/convicted of, that's when justice will truly be served.

I know of someone who was convicted of the same thing, yet he has a facebook, myspace and his "best friend" has 4 little girls. Nothing is being done about this. What is wrong with our system?
