WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a special fund raiser for "Survive Alive House" in the Town of Beloit

RSS

— The only "Survive Alive House" in Rock County will get a boost from an annual fund raising event Thursday night.

Town of Beloit Fire Department, Lt. Glen Hennig, says they'll be serving pizzas at the Beloit Pizza Hut between 5 pm and 8 pm.

Hennig says the "Survive Alive House" is a tool for teaching people how to respond to fires. Built in 1994, it's estimated 25,000 people, including children from all over Rock County, have been through the "Survive Alive House" experience. The program includes a classroom module and a simulated "smokey" fire.

The Pizza Hut staff has agreed to hand over all tips and profits while firefighters are there Thursday night.
