More federal grant money for flood clean up

The U.S. Commerce Department wants to help Rock County recover from the economic loss caused by last year's floods.

The Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration has awarded a $300,000 grant to the Wisconsin Counties Association. The money is intended to be used to stimulate economic activity and job creation in 30 counties including Rock, Walworth, Green, and Jefferson. Funds will be used to provide an economic development professional to help create and produce marketing strategies emphasizing the use of regional assets for industrial growth.

Discover Wisconsin is expected to help produce four shows to promote the effort as well.
