A rough night for the Craig and Parker girls volleyball and boys soccer teams...

There was one piece of good news Thursday night for Janesville Craig High School’s boys soccer team.

The host Cougars held Verona standout Ryan Hanna, one of the Big Eight top scorers, without a goal. But the third-place Wildcats had plenty to make up for it in an 8-0 victory that lifted them to 6-2 in the conference and dropped Craig to 2-6.

Kade Hanson led the way with two goals, and six other Wildcats scored.

Craig finishes its conference season Monday with a makeup game at home against Madison East. The Cougars begin WIAA tournament play at home Tuesday against Stoughton.
