A local business leader has some ideas why jobs are going overseas.

Forward Janesville President John Beckord tells WCLO's Stan Milam Show, a recent article in Business Week indicates the top reason many companies are moving their manufacturing operations overseas is not primarily low labor costs. Beckord says high corporate taxes, slow regulatory approval, and energy policies in America, can be even more important reasons.

He says states like Wisconsin need to understand what's happening in the world marketplace to remain competitive.
