Morales, Bees sting Beloit Snappers
BELOIT Jason Morales’ two-run triple in the seventh inning led the visiting Burlington Bees to a 3-1 victory over the Beloit Snappers in Midwest League baseball Monday.
Morales’ triple broke a six-inning scoreless deadlock to give Burlington a 2-0 lead. Beloit bounced back with a run in the eighth. Burlington added an insurance run in the ninth and Beloit went quietly in the bottom of the inning.
The Snappers were stopped on four hits, while the Bees managed five hits. Three came in the seventh off Beloit starter Bruce Pugh (3-5).
