A man in federal custody on charges related to threatening letters is sentenced for escaping from a Janesville halfway house.
Danny Amos, 58, fled from the Rock Valley Community Program in Janesville in July 2008. He was arrested in Minnesota after burglarizing two homes. In June, he pleaded guilty to the escape charge. His federal sentence on that charge, nearly three years in prison, will be served consecutively with his sentence for the two burglaries. He's serving almost six years in prison on the burglary charges.
Amos was in federal custody based on his 1994 sentence for conspiring to mail threatening letters.
