WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a free workshop to strengthen money management skills

— The Rock County Job Center is hosting a workshop on money management Tuesday. The workshop will be presented twice, first at 9 am and again at 1 pm.

The presenter is Karen Downs, a trainer certified by the Association of Credit and Collections Professionals. The workshops are in conjunction with National Credit Education Week (April 19-23) and presented by the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, and Collaborative Organizations Responding to Dislocation.

Business and Employment Services Director for SWWDB, Eric Kuznacic, says topics covered include money and credit management, smart credit card usage, how to write checks, how to protect against ID theft, building your credit score, and more.

The session is free of charge.
