WCLO's Steve Benton reports 911 communications center employees are training on new equipment at the new back-up center in the Town of Beloit
BELOIT TOWNSHIP Rock County 911 Communications Center staff are training at their new back-up dispatch center in the Town of Beloit.
Operations Manager, Kathy Sukus says the back-up center has recently moved from the old Town of Beloit Fire Department building, next door, to the new building.
She says the equipment is also new and matches up with the primary dispatch center in Janesville. The back-up center has seven work stations and can handle all emergency calls in the county.
Training began Thursday, April 29th, and will continue through May 10th.
