— The U.W. Whitewater campus is taking another step in its march toward green energy.

Assistant director of marketing and media relations for the university, Jeff Angileri, says new solar panels on Hyland Hall are now operating.

The project was completed with grant money at a cost of about $167,000. He says the units are rated to produce about 39,000 kilowatt hours of energy annually.

Anyone curious about how much solar power is being generated is invited to check a monitoring website at http://siteapp.fatspaniel.net/siteapp/simpleView.jsf?eid=625363
