Gazette advertising staff wins 23 awards in WNA contest

The Gazette's advertising department won 23 awards in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's Bettter Newspaper Contest for 2009.

The awards were presented at WNA's annual conference in Middleton earlier this month.

The Gazette's advertising winners:

-- First place-Online Revenue Builder—Multi-advertiser.

-- First place-Best Online Ad—Single Ad-Static; Cute Kids.

-- Second place-Best Ad Idea- Series—Dan Bothun and Donna Hanson; Rollin Pin Bakery.

This a worse self promotion than the Oscars. There are 57 catagories, but only if you've paid your dues of course.

Congrats. I have never know a more dedicated hard working group. It is nice that you all were recognized for your contributions.
