WCLO's Steve Benton reports the Wisconsin National Guard 32nd Brigade Family Readiness Group gets an award

RSS

— The Wisconsin National Guard's 32nd Brigade Family Readiness Group is getting an award from the Department of Defense.

The volunteer group launched a community service campaign, "Moving Forward Giving Back" which included taking part in food pantry collections, the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign, and supporting other community agencies that support the troops.

The Readiness Group is normally active in supporting the troops, but Lt. Col. Jackie Guthrie says this was a way for the families of troops serving overseas to say "thank you" to the communities that support them.
