Edgewood tops Fort, gains share of lead
Fort Atkinson High School’s boys basketball team threatened to pull an upset Saturday night, but Madison Edgewood emerged with a share of the Badger South lead.
The host Crusaders (6-5) overcame a 12-10 deficit after the first quarter with a 15-5 advantage in the second period and went on to a 46-34 victory that lifted them into a tie with Monroe at 4-1 in the conference.
Austin Arians led the way with 19 points as Edgewood dropped Fort Atkinson to 0-4 in the conference and 1-9 overall.
The Blachawks host old rival Edgerton tonight in a nonconference game, which will be their first regular-season meeting with the Crimson Tide in 33 years.
