Podcast Episode
Hundreds of family members from the Janesville area reconnecting with their loved ones at Volk Field in Madison this morning.
Officials tell Janesville Gazette reporter Frank Schultz says excited family members were waiting on a rope line holding signs in the cold as they waited for their loved ones to get off the plane.
A news release from the Wisconsin National Guard states the soldiers have been in Iraq the past eight months and are part of the 132nd Brigade Support Battalion of the 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
The soldiers will spend time with their families. Then they'll be bused to Fort McCoy for five days of demobilization before returning to Janesville.

ame maybe your husand should remember how he felt when he came home from Viet Nam. Is that
really how he wants troops that are now serving our country with pride (just like your husband did) to feel. I would think that vets like your husband would want to make sure that they don't have to go through what he went through. I think your husband really needs to grow up and start help making the change.
I would like to welcome home Alpha Co and say thank you and we have missed you all!!!!! I can't wait to see you.

ame8736~ that is fine if he doesn't want to attend the parade but to still be bitter of something that long ago!!! Times have changed maybe you should tell him that. That just shows that he doesn't have his bothers/sisters back that are still out fighting for his freedom and ours. I think he just needs to grow up

My husband says he will not attend the parade as he is still bitter since he is a Viet Nam vet and nothing NOTHING was done for them when they came home.
