Obama sends White House official to Janesville
Podcast Episode
JANESVILLE Officials from the Obama administration were prepared to get an earful Friday after touring Janesville and the Job Center.
White House Director of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers, Ed Montgomery, led the group and spoke with reporters late Friday morning. He says their task is to visit areas hard hit by the faltering economy the fall of the American auto industry and find ways to connect those areas with the Federal Government to hasten recovery.
The Feds then held a private face to face with a number of officials from Rock County to compile a list of requests, proposals, and questions to bring back to Washington.
Montgomery says President Obama wants this direct collaboration to bring economic stability and strength to the area.

Oldvet: I guess not everyone is as perfect as you. I'm guessing you wouldn't have had anything good to say about the guy no matter what. I'm glad they came, and hope something good comes of it.
