WCLO's Steve Benton reports on physical upgrades and changes to the Beloit College Campus

RSS

— Beloit College is undertaking a project to beautify the campus and make it safer for students.

Director of Communications, Jason Hughes, says changes include transitioning three streets on campus to one way traffic, straightening and widening some campus sidewalks, and adding more green space.

The street changes will take traffic West only on Emerson from Church to North College. Chapin will also take traffic West to College but then turn South.

Additional improvements include turning the circle drive between Eaton Chapel and the library to green space and the patio off Eaton Chapel's South side will be updated to make it handicap accessible.

All of the work is scheduled to be completed before the return of students this fall.
