Bomb video released
Podcast Episode
Watch video. WCLO's Steve Benton reports on the release of a surveillance video showing a suspect in a Beloit bombing incident.
BELOIT The Beloit Police Department is hoping a surveillance camera video will help them solve a bombing incident on the city's West side a little over a month ago.
Capt. Bill Tyler says the victim had installed a video camera outside his house to monitor neighborhood activities prior to the bombing. He says police have ruled out neighbors as suspects.
The video shows a subject wearing dark pants and a light colored shirt run past the camera and then a few seconds later run back the other way. Muted audio of someone saying to "hurry" can be heard along with the foot steps of the person running by the camera.
Tyler says they're hoping someone will recognize the voice or the suspect caught on the video.
The bomb went off early the morning of May 5th in the 900 block of 9th St. in Beloit. The bomb damaged the vehicle and the house.
