A Rock County jury is hearing testimony in a murder trial this week.

Thirty-six-year-old Donyil Anderson of Beloit is accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend and stabbing her boyfriend in 2008. According to the criminal complaint, 31-year-old Stacey Hosey told a doctor the Anderson attacked her, shortly before she died from 13 stab wounds. Her boyfriend, Brandon Beavers-Jackson, had five stab wounds and survived. He told authorities that Anderson was jealous of his relationship with Hosey. Hosey's family filed a claim against the City of Janesville this winter alleging negligence. At about 2am on August 9, 2008 Anderson was arrested by Janesville Police after he reportedly punched a bouncer at a downtown bar. He was released, and less than two hours later the stabbing occurred.

Testimony in the trial is expected Tuesday.
