Time to check your furnace
Podcast Episode
WCLO's Steve Benton reports it's the time of year to check your furnace for carbon monoxide leaks
JANESVILLE Fall is a good time to have your furnace checked, before the real cold weather hits.
Another reason to check your furnace is if you suffer flu like symptoms at home, but not when you leave. That may be an indication you have a carbon monoxide leak. Alliant Energy spokesman, Steve Schultz, says the symptoms are almost identical for both, headache, nausea, and fatigue.
In addition to having your furnace checked, you can also guard against carbon monoxide leaks by installing carbon monoxide detectors.
