Kolloff sparks Milton soccer

Kevin Kolloff helped take Milton High's boys soccer team to the next level Thursday night.

Kolloff scored two second-half goals to lead the Red Hawks to a 3-0 win over Beloit Memorial in a WIAA Division 1 regional title game at UW-Whitewater.

Third-seeded Milton plays at second-seeded Kenosha Tremper in a sectional semifinal game next Thursday.

After a scoreless first half, Kyle Moss put the Red Hawks on the board at 42:36 on an assist from Sam Novak. Kolloff made it 2-0 at 65:30 with an unassisted goal and finished the scoring two minutes later on Novak's second assist of the game.

Milton goalkeeper Jon Haas had two saves in picking up the shutout win.

Badger (19-4-3) plays at top-seeded Kenosha Bradford in the sectional semifinals on Thursday.

Kyle Janikowski got the only goal of the game three minutes into overtime on an assist from Filiberto Librado.

Erik Papenfus made 11 saves for the Elks.

Oregon, the Badger South champion, plays at Big Eight Conference champion Middleton next Thursday in the semifinals of the Middleton Sectional.

Delavan-Darien (15-6) got seven saves from goalkeeper Evan Mansfield.
