— The city's Compost Facility and Demolition Landfill hours will change beginning Monday, Nov. 1.

Nov. 1 to 6—8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Nov. 8 to 20—8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

Nov. 22 to Dec. 4—8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 25.

Beginning Dec. 6, the compost facility will not have regular hours, but it might be open if the weather is agreeable.

City ordinance 8.64.180 requires that all individuals cover their waste and debris during transportation to the landfill. Residents can enclose their refuse or use a tarp to ensure waste does not leave their vehicle. Individuals are not required to cover brush or tree limbs being transported to the demolition landfill. It is the responsibility of haulers to retrieve any and all items that fall out of their vehicles during transport. Failure to retrieve such items is a violation of city ordinance.

Call the City Services Center at (608) 755-3110 for more information.
