Man found in lake identified

EAST TROY — A missing man found underwater Wednesday in Lake Beulah was identified Thursday as Michael P. Brillowski, 33, of East Troy Township, according to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.

An autopsy was conducted earlier Thursday. Results, including toxicology reports, are expected within a few weeks, Sheriff’s Capt. Dana Nigbor said.

An investigation into circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing, but the death is not considered to be suspicious, she said. A cause of death won’t be determined until autopsy results are finalized and the investigation is concluded, she said.

Brillowski was last seen trying to dock a pontoon boat, sheriff investigators said. Brillowski’s body was found by a dive team in 10 feet of water, 50 feet from shore.
