The City of Janesville recently demolished a five-unit apartment building at the corner of East Court and Wisconsin streets in Janesville. The city acquired the property earlier this year as part of its blight elimination efforts.

Kelly Lee, Janesville’s neighborhood development specialist, said the city has had preliminary conversations with neighbors about the future of the site, although no decisions have been made.

As part of the same program, the city will demolish three properties it acquired through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program in the next couple of weeks, Lee said. They are at 215 Linn St., 313 N. Pearl St., and 410 N. Pearl St.

What is with the Jonny on the spot reporting. This happened the same day as Case building and MANY articles about that already.

In the blog about Case somebody said this was done at the same time as Case because KAB had a problem with this building coming down as well and couldn't be in two places at once.

She really needs a NEW HOBBY. What business is it of yours when NASTY ,Blighted and unsafe building come down. TAKE CARE OF them AND keep them to CODE and this WONT happen. SIMPLE TO ME!!
