What: 16th Annual Festival on the Rock

When: 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday

Where: Preservation Park, Highway 51 in Beloit Township. The park is located between the river and Highway 51 (Riverside Drive) north of Beloit city limits.

The 16th annual Festival on the Rock hosted by the town of Beloit is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Preservation Park on the Rock River north of the city of Beloit.

Parking and admission are free. The town will use the money raised at the event for buying play equipment for the park.

Here are some highlights for the event that will start at 11 a.m.:

-- Dog training demonstration at 12:30 p.m.

-- Dancing, tumbling and cheerleading demonstrations at 1:30 p.m.

-- A toy sale sponsored by Patch Products 11 to 4 p.m. The national toy company is headquartered in Beloit Township.

-- Free boat rides.

-- Arts and crafts, kids games and rides.

-- Live music starting at 5 p.m.
