WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a planned Hazmat training exercise in Milton

RSS

— Air Products of Milton is hosting a hazardous materials training session Wednesday morning beginning around 10 am.

Milton Police Chief, Jerry Schuetz, says the training will take place at the Air Products facility, at 337 Vincent, and will not impact traffic in the area.

The agencies involved in the training include the Rock County level "B" Hazmat team, Rock County Emergency Management office, the Milton Police and Fire Departments, and staff at Air Products.

Schuetz says the exercise will involve a simulated chemical gas leak from a rail car. Training is expected to be finished around 11:30 am.
