WCLO's / WJVL's Steve Benton reports Beloit's director of operations for the public works department will serve a third term on the National Homeland Security Consortium.

RSS

— Beloit's Director of Operations for the Public Works Department will spend another year on the Homeland Security Consortium.

Chris Walsh was selected to serve on the panel because she brings knowledge of both rural and urban public works operations.

Walsh says some of the issues she's worked on over the last two years include critical infrastructure, communication and collaboration, and intelligence and information sharing. She's currently working on medical counter measures.

Walsh represents the American Public Works Association. Her third term begins September 18th.
