— A Beloit man has not been seen or heard from for nearly two weeks, and police are asking for help from the public.

Captain Vince Sciame says Bilial Hammette, 18, is 6 feet tall, 150 pounds and has a tattoo of a dollar sign under his right eye. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a red t-shirt and black pair of Nike shoes.

Hammette's mother reported him missing to police Aug. 12. He hasn't been seen or heard from since Aug. 6.

Police say Hammette does not have access to a vehicle and they have determined this is not normal behavior for Hammette.

This is the second missing person case in Beloit this month. The body of Cardell Johnson was found by an Illinois highway earlier this week. Sciame says the two cases are not related.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Hammette's family or Beloit police at 364-6801.
