Quad City offense too much for Beloit

DAVENPORT, IA — The Quad Cities River Bandits pounded the Beloit Snappers, 11-3, Tuesday in Midwest League baseball.

Nate Roberts hit a solo home run in the seventh, and teammates Jairo Perez and Derek McCallum socked solo shots in the eighth to account for the Snappers’ runs.

Quad Cities held a 5-0 lead before Roberts homered in the seventh. The River Bandits notched 12 hits.

Snappers starter Manuel Soliman (7-10) took the loss, allowing five runs on four hits through the first three innings.
