Verona defeats Janesville Craig in tennis
VERONA Janesville Craig High School’s girls tennis team lost 6-1 to Verona in a Big Eight Conference match Tuesday.
Sarah Gray defeated Marissa Wilson, 6-4, 6-0, for the Cougars’ lone victory. The match loss dropped Craig to 0-2 in the league.
“We didn’t have enough,” Craig coach Bill Peyer said. “They had more than we had.’’
Craig hosts Sun Prairie at 4 p.m. Thursday at Palmer Park.
