— An employee health and wellness center could ramp up the savings the Beloit School District is getting from its employee wellness program.

Superintendent Steve McNeal says the clinic would eliminate the costs of some of the office visits they pay for through insurance. The center would be placed in the Riverfront Center near Beloit Memorial High School.

McNeal says the district is already savings more than a $1 million with its wellness program.

McNeal believes the creation of such clinics is rare among Wisconsin school districts.

The school board will discuss the employee health and wellness center when it meets on Tuesday.
