Badger tops Big Foot

Lake Geneva Badger's girls basketball team got defensive Thursday night.

The Badgers held host Walworth Big Foot to single digits in each quarter en route to a 47-23 nonconference win.

Badger, which went on a

14-2 run in the third quarter, got 17 points from Lana Wieseman and 13 from Emma Kopp.

-- New Glarus 57, Evansville 30—Anya Schween scored 10 of her game-high 17 in the second half to lead the Glarner Knights to the nonconference win. Kayla Klitzman scored 12 points for Evansville.

Nicole Masterson's 18 points led the Whippets (1-1), who lost senior and University of Nevada-Reno recruit Julia Shelbourn to a season-ending knee injury Tuesday night.
