Man ID'd in Milton pot arrest
MILTON Police have released the name of the teen arrested last month after officers found marijuana, cash and drug packing material in a student vehicle in the parking lot at Milton High School.
Tyler F. Chase, 18, Bingham Road, Milton, was arrested Nov. 15 on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug vehicle, according to a news release issued Thursday by Milton police.
The arrest came after multiple police agencies conducted a sweep of Milton schools with drug-sniffing dogs.
Police reported finding a "significant" amount of marijuana along with cash and drug packaging material in a student vehicle, which led to the arrest of Chase.
Police had refused to release the identity of Chase until Thursday.
The Gazette last month filed a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law asking for the names of those arrested and details of charges in the drug sweep.
The department last week released the names of a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl arrested for lesser marijuana possession charges during the sweep.
The department had declined to release the identity of Chase, citing overarching state statutes.
