WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on hundreds turning out for jobs at Stoughton Trailer

RSS

Stoughton Trailer officials used the Rock County Job Center Wednesday to take applications and interview prospective employees.

Hundreds of applicants showed up, many arriving early to find a line. By 11:00 a.m. Stoughton Trailer officials had enough applicants for the initial interviews, and began telling job seekers they might have to wait two to three weeks. Most waiting for an opportunity to interview had a very similar story. They'd been searching for a job, many for two years, but work was scarce everywhere. They all said they were not surprised by the long lines of applicants.

Stoughton Trailer may eventually hire about 100 new workers.
