Intoxicated driving arrests
-- JULIO CALVAN HERNANDEZ, 27, of 3105 Vold Court, No. 3, Janesville, at 11:15 p.m. Sunday on Highway 14 west of Connor Road, Janesville Township. It is listed as his second intoxicated driving arrest. He also was cited for operating while revoked.
-- JORDAN R. VANCE, 29, of 2009 Meadow Drive, Beloit, at 9:06 a.m. Thursday in a parking lot at 4029 N. County F, Janesville Township.
-- NICHOLAS G. CULLEN, 22, of 626 Miller Ave., Janesville, at 2:41 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Drive and Washington Street, Janesville.
-- LAWRENCE T. MEYER, 21, of 912 Benton Ave., Janesville, at 1:49 a.m. Saturday at Parker Drive and Glen Street, Janesville.
-- JEREMY M. ZAHN, 23, of 854 Benton Ave., Janesville, at 2:24 a.m. Saturday at Martin Road and Mount Zion Avenue, Janesville.
-- KEITH D. SCHOENBECK, 34, of 487 N. Fremont St., Whitewater, at 9:06 p.m. Thursday at Oakhill Avenue and Memorial Drive, Janesville. Also arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
-- BURGLARY to a garage in the 5300 block of North Sweetbriar Drive, Harmony Township, reported Saturday. Reported stolen were a GPS, cleaning supplies and a phone charger.
-- BURGLARY to a storage shed in the 9200 block of North Newville Road, Milton Township, reported Saturday. Power tools were reported stolen.
-- BURGLARY to a barn on West Gibbs Lake Road, Porter Township, reported May 24. Tools were reported stolen.
-- SUBSTANTIAL BATTERY, at 1:53 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of south Jackson Street, Janesville. A 17-year-old Janesville girl reported she was walking with two friends when a woman appeared and hit her with a big wooden stick, breaking her arm. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old Janesville woman told a different officer that three females assaulted her when she refused to give them a ride home. Police believe the two reports are related. An investigation is ongoing.
-- MILTON AVENUE NEAR REFSET DRIVE, JANESVILLE, at 4:09 p.m. Saturday. A car driven by Arlyn H. Turnquist, 71, of Deerfield, hit the rear of a car driven by James E. Brennan, 87, of 2930 Timber Lane, Janesville. Police said Turnquist might have had a medical problem that reduced his alertness. Both men were treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville.
-- MAPLE BEACH DRIVE AT IVA DRIVE, MILTON TOWNSHIP, at 11:09 a.m. Friday. A vehicle driven by Karen K. Downing, 53, of 3620 Birdsong Lane, Janesville, was eastbound on Maple Beach Drive turning right when her vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Jasmine L. Heiser, 19, of 1616 E. Road 2, Edgerton. Downing’s vehicle spun 180 degrees. Downing was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Heiser was cited for inattentive driving.
-- FOOTVILLE BRODHEAD ROAD WEST OF SEVERSON ROAD, SPRING VALLEY TOWNSHIP, at 11:50 p.m. Friday. A vehicle driven by Jacob S. Hoff, 20, of 1407 W. 4th Ave., Brodhead, was westbound when the vehicle veered into the north grass ditch and collided with a small tree. Hoff was treated at an area hospital and cited for inattentive driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and not wearing a seat belt. A passenger, Courtney A. Lockhart, 21, of 408 2nd St., Brodhead, was treated at an area hospital and was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
-- JANESVILLE HANOVER ROAD WEST OF HAYNER ROAD, ROCK TOWNSHIP, at 12:04 p.m. May 14. A vehicle driven by Elmer F. Phillips, 74, of 1612 S. Willard Ave., Janesville, was eastbound when it went into the left ditch and struck a creek embankment. Phillips was treated at an area hospital and cited for inattentive driving and not wearing a seat belt.
Intoxicated driving arrests
-- BRENT A. WOLLIN, 19, Monroe, at 1:34 a.m. Sunday on Highway 59 near County F, Albany Township. He was arrested on a charge of absolute sobriety and cited for speeding and open intoxicants. A passenger, Corbin G. Hamilton, 18, Albany, was cited for underage possession/consumption of alcohol.
-- DARRIN W. DEMROW, 32, Brodhead, at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of 1st Center Ave., Brodhead. The arrest was listed as his fifth for intoxicated driving. Also cited for bail jumping and a seat belt violation. Passenger Olivia L.J. Halvorson, 22, Belleville, was cited for a seat belt violation.For past public records, use the Public Record Calendar.
