Ray's slam caps Beloit Snappers' rally

DAYTON, Ohio — Lance Ray came through in a pinch Tuesday night for the Beloit Snappers.

Ray’s pinch-hit grand slam in the top of the ninth inning capped a six-run rally for Beloit as it outlasted Dayton, 11-10, in a Midwest League game.

Beloit led 5-2 in the third but saw Dayton score eight straight runs to take a 10-5 lead.

Ben Tootle (1-1) picked up the win in relief, while Clinton Dempster notched his third save with a scoreless ninth.
