— The city of Milton has announced that the annual Milton Fourth of July parade will include a special guest—the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile.

But not even a giant hotdog on wheels can go it alone. That’s why the Celebrate Milton Committee is inviting participants for the parade, which is being held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 4, and is presented by Air Products.

The theme for the parade is “Stars and Stripes,” and participants will have a chance to win a “best use of theme” award. All organizations are welcome to participate, but entrants must submit a parade registration form by noon June 17.

Registration forms are available at Milton City Hall, 430 E. High St., Suite 3, Milton.

Horse registrations must include Coggins test documentation, and anyone driving a motorized vehicle in the parade must submit a copy of a valid driver’s license with their registration form.

For more information, call City Administrator Jerry Schuetz at (608) 868-6900 Ext. 4, or at jschuetz@ci.milton.wi.us. To help recruit parade participants, contact Inga Jacobson at (608) 868-6900, Ext. 4, or at ijacobson@ci.milton.wi.us.
