— The Beloit School District wants to keep its options open when it comes to growth at Beloit Memorial High School.

Superintendent Steve McNeal says the only direction the district could expand the high school is west. He says they consider purchasing property near the high school whenever it becomes available.

McNeal says the land is likely to be used for athletic fields. He says the land purchases are a long term strategy.

A land purchase is on the school board's agenda for Tuesday.
