UW-Whitewater women fall
DECATUR, ILL. Julia Robert sank five free throws down the stretch Sunday to ensure Millikin’s 78-73 victory over UW-Whitewater in nonconference women’s basketball.
Mary Merg scored 16 of her game-high 27 points in the first half to help Whitewater hold a 36-32 lead at the half. Merg hit a layup at 9:37 of the second half to give Whitewater its last lead, 51-49.
Kaitlyn Thill and Courtney Kumerow each added 15 points for Whitewater.
