Suspicious information is prompting the Rock County Sheriff's Office to take a closer look at the death of a rural Beloit woman.

The death of Marjorie Sands, 91, was considered the result of an accidental fall when her body was discovered on Sept. 18.

Sheriff Bob Spoden says a few days later they received new information, prompting an autopsy that showed the cause of Sand's death was not consistent with an accidental fall.

Investigators are now considering it a homicide.

Spoden says investigators will be conducting interviews and trying to learn more about Sands.
