WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on "gap's" affect on unemployed and unfilled jobs

RSS

Many unemployed workers find they don't have the skills needed for new employment in their old field.

Blackhawk Technical College President Tom Eckert plans to do something about that with a new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center. The center is being planned for the old Ironworks in Beloit. Eckert says all of the school's manufacturing programs could be located in one place, allowing students to cross train and work on joint projects.

Fundraising is underway.
