Teen seriously injured in Friday night crash
LAKE GENEVA A 14-year-old town of Bloomfield girl was seriously injured Friday night in a one-vehicle crash.
She was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa, according to a news release from the Lake Geneva Police Department.
The crash happened at 6:56 p.m. Friday when a car traveling north on Edwards Boulevard, driven by Sarah R. Wald, 19, Lake Geneva, crossed into the southbound lane of traffic and hit a bridge abutment, according to the release.
Five people were in the car, according to the release that did not indicate if any of them were injured.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Department crash reconstruction team is assisting the Lake Geneva Police Department in this ongoing investigation. Speed appears to be a factor in the accident, according to the news release.
