Trick or Treat hours and activities for local communities

Anyone who wishes to be visited by trick-or-treaters should leave a front porch light on.

GREEN COUNTY

Albany: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Brodhead: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

ROCK COUNTY

Beloit: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- A Halloween parade and party will start at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Families should gather at Horace White Park on Grand Avenue and form a parade to the farmers market downtown. The party will feature trick-or-treating at area businesses, storytelling, live music and hayrides. For more information, call (608) 365-4838.

Beloit Township: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- Welty Environmental Center will host “The Feast of the New Waxing Moon” from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Beckman Mill County Park, 11450 S. County H. The event will feature a pumpkin-carving contest, scavenger hunt, art projects, savanna and wetlands tours, and more. For more information, call (608) 361-1377 or email info@weltycenter.org.

Clinton: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- Alden Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 709 Meadow Park Drive, will host its annual Halloween Adventure from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. The event will feature a free “unspooky” haunted house and trick-or-treating. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call (608) 676-2202.

Edgerton: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- The Rock River Thresheree will host the Spooky Halloween Train and Haunted Train of Terror from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, and from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Thresherman’s Park, 51 E. Cox Road. Admission is $6 for ages 7 and older, $4 for ages 3-6 and free for ages 2 and younger. Train rides last about 20 minutes and travel through the haunted woods. Footville: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Janesville: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- Fright Factory, 1405 E. Riverside St., sponsored by the Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Club, is open from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27; from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29; and from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. Admission is $10.

-- Enchanted Forest and Hollywood Hayride runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. now through Saturday, Oct. 29, at Palmer Park, 2501 Palmer Drive. The forest features candles, castles, costumed characters, horse-drawn carriage, lights and special effects. For more information, call (608) 755-3030.

Darien: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Delavan: 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- A parade will start at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the Delavan Post Office, 335 E. Walworth Ave., and end at the American Legion Hall, 111 S. Second St.

East Troy: 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Elkhorn: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Fontana: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Geneva Township: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30

Genoa City: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Lake Geneva: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

-- Halloween at the Museum will feature trick-or-treating and activities for children 11 and younger from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Geneva Lake Museum, 255 Mill St. A costume parade will start at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, call (262) 248-6060.

Linn Township: The town police, fire and rescue departments will host a children’s Halloween party from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the firehouse, N1457 Hillside Road.

Sharon: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Whitewater: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- The city will host a youth Halloween party from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the armory, 146 W. North St. Cost is 50 cents or one non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry.

Walworth: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

-- The Assisted Living Residence and Health Care Center, Golden Years of Walworth, 270 Ridge Road, will host trick-or-treating for children 11 and younger from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Williams Bay: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

-- The Williams Bay Police Department, Williams Bay Elementary School and the Williams Bay School-Community Association will host a children’s Halloween party at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the elementary school, 139 Congress St.

I don't understand why Janesville has never had the Trick or Treating on Sat or Sun? It would be much easier than being on a school/work night
